Creating Your Family Prayer Table

A Prayer Table:

Is a place to put small items that are special to us and remind us of God’s love
Reminds us that Jesus is always with us, sharing in our family life
Helps us to pray, even if it is just for a few minutes a day

Ideas for your own table:

Position the table/use a shelf in a prominent place in your house;Somewhere you are going to see it regularly
You may not have much to put on it to begin with but you can gather new ideas as the year goes on
Your table can be simple or elaborate, with flowers on or just a plain shelf.... Do whatever suits your family and home….but try to keep it for special things only!
Some things that you might put on your table are a crucifix, a statue of Mary, a rosary, a candle, a photo of your family, a Bible.

The first thing you could put on your family prayer table is your tour of the church booklet and your new book of Prayers.

I wonder how many of the prayers you and your family know already?
