Welcome to the Catholic Parish of Guildford, made up of four church communities: St Mary, St Joseph, St Edward the Confessor, St Pius X. We are so happy you have found us!
Our Parish is a strong, vibrant and diverse community with around 400 active volunteers offering a variety of opportunities for us all to journey together in faith and life. There are many ways to get involved and find community in the Parish, both on Sundays and throughout the week.

Sacramental Preparation for Children.
BaptismBaptism is the first sacrament and the gateway to the others. Through it we become part of the Church, the Body of Christ.

First Holy CommunionThe Eucharist (Holy Communion) completes Initiation and is food for our life in union with Christ.

ConfirmationConfirmation is the second "Sacrament of Initiation". By it we receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Sacraments for Adults.
Marriage Preparation
Marriage is the vocation of most Christians and very important in both Church and Society. The sacrament is ministered by the couple to each other in the presence of a priest or deacon and gives grace for lifelong loving fidelity and parenthood.

RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, prepares adults to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, First Holy Communion and integrate them into the local Catholic Church community. This is done through weekly teaching, discussion and prayer.
