Children’s Liturgy Gift Prison Appeal Christmas 2018
We ask for your help to provide a Christmas present for about 100 children who won’t see their mothers on Christmas day, but who will attend events organised by the prison during December. If you can definitely commit to buying a present (value between £10.00 and £15.00), please take one of the tags at the back of the church after Mass and buy as appropriate. Each tag represents a particular child and notes gender and age. Please note that we have been asked by Send to provide Vouchers for all children over the age of 8 e.g. Argos, Amazon, Accessorize, iTunes, Game etc.Please do NOT wrap the present, but attach the tag to it and leave it at the back of the church before Mass up until the 9th December (during the week gifts may be left at the Presbytery)

St Edward's Parishioners are organizing a FREE Christmas lunch in Guildford for Senior people on their own on Christmas Day Jacobs Well Village Hall, Jacobs Well Rd, Jacobs Well, Guildford GU4 7PD, arrive 13:00pm for lunch at 13:30pm. If you or someone you know might be interested, please contact Marta Gaskin 07855 846957, marta.gaskin@unigold2000.co.uk or matt.gaskin@unigold2000.co.uk
Alternatively, if you have a car and can volunteer to pick up or drop off and spare just an hour of your time on Christmas day that would also be very welcome.

Dawn to Dusk Reconciliation
On Sat. Dec. 15th there will be a time of Reconciliation for the whole parish between 8am and 6pm in St. Pius Church with our team and deanery priests available throughout the day for the celebration of the Sacrament of Penance. Please put this in your diary as a key element in our preparation for the celebration of Christmas.

St Joseph's Christmas Eve 6pm Mass
All children are especially welcomed to take part in this Mass. If you would like to volunteer for a part, or your parents or carer would like to help before or on the day, please contact Judith on 07766232011 or judithvickers@hotmail.com. Costumes will be given out on Sunday 16th and Sunday 23rd December, but if you have your own please feel free to wear it, or if you have grown out of a costume, we are always looking for donations. On Sunday 23rd December we will have a brief run through of the Gospel after the 11am Mass.

This will be a quiet said Mass and a prayerful alternative to the normal New Year celebrations.
The Mass will be of Mary the Holy Mother of God at Midnight 31st December in St Joseph’s Church.
It will be celebrated in thanksgiving for the blessings of the past year and for peace in the world for the New Year.
