What is Children's Liturgy?
It is an opportunity for children to hear and respond to the Gospel story in their own time and space. The children leave the main body of the church with a team of adult leaders during the Gloria. They come back during the offertory to continue their participation in the Mass.
Who is Children's Liturgy for?
Children’s liturgy of the word is for children who are aged up to 8 years old and are able:
- Able to sit and listen to a story for a maximum of 15 minutes
- Happy to come to Liturgy independently if attending full-time school (aged 5-8)
- Be accompanied by an adult if under the age of 5
When does it take place?
Children's Liturgy takes place at all Sunday morning Masses during term time.
Please note that there will be special Family Masses at all churches as part of the First Holy Communion Course this year, which means that Children's Liturgy will NOT be running on the following dates:
Sunday 23rd April
Sunday 7th April
HALF TERM - 28th May and 4th June
End of Term last session - 16th July
